In today’s fast-paced and often high-pressure work environments, building a positive company is more important than ever. That’s why, VMSI believes that one simple but powerful way to boost morale and productivity is by cultivating an attitude of gratitude.
This month of July, our special discussion session topic was focused on “Attitude of Gratitude.” Our President and COO, Mr. Martin E. Marasigan, facilitated an engaging discussion on how this approach can turn the workplace into a more enjoyable, collaborative, and successful environment. He also built an engaging atmosphere by prompting team members to discuss their personal viewpoints and strategies for incorporating gratitude into the workplace.
In closing, Mr, Marasigan provide highlights on how to develop the attitude of gratitude, as listed below, which will be beneficial to the team.
- Count Your Blessings – Make a list of all the ways you are blessed. Don’t just think about the blessings in your head, actually write and count them. Start with the big things and work towards smaller things.
- A-B-C List – If you are struggling to think of things you are thankful for use the alphabet as a guide. Go down each letter and come up with a blessing for each one.
- Three Things – Think of three things you are grateful for each day. You might choose something that is a constant in your life, something specific to that day, or something as simple as the sun shining that day.
- Gratitude Journal – Start a journal to keep track of all the things you are grateful for. During tough times, go back and read through your previous entries and focus on the blessings you indeed have.
- Be Grateful for Yourself – Take the time to recognize all the unique things that make you you! Think of the things you have accomplished (big or small). Once you can appreciate yourself, your ability to see things more positively will grow.
He also emphasized the importance of consistently practicing gratitude and encouraged everyone to carry these insights forward, making gratitude an integral part of our daily life.
This session ended with a quotation “If you concentrate on what you have, you’ll always have more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you’ll never have enough.” which left us all inspired and equipped with practical strategies to integrate gratitude into our daily interactions and strengthen our workplace culture. At VMSI, we are committed to fostering an environment where every team member feels empowered and driven to succeed.
